The CRO-MATH-IN association organizes international scientific meetings, cooperates with companies through professional projects, and its experts develop specialized software in the field of industrial mathematics. On this page you can see examples of such activities of the Association.

Multi-scale methods

The CRO-MATH-IN association, together with the Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb co-organizes the international scientific conference Multi-scale methods for reactive flow and transport in complex elastic media in memory of prof. Andro Mikelić, in Dubrovnik from March 19 to March 22, 2024.

Dynamic mode decomposition

CRO-MATH-IN member Zlatko Drmač has developed robust numerical methods for the dynamic modes decomposition. His implementation of the corresponding mathematical software was published in LAPACK, one of the most important numerical software libraries, which becomes an integral part of applications such as Matlab, the Python libraries numpy and scipy, etc.

7th Najman conference

The CRO-MATH-IN association, with the support of the European Cooperation in Science and Technology via Action CA18232: Mathematical models for interacting dynamics on networks, organized the international scientific conference The Seventh Najman Conference on Spectral Theory and Differential Equations on Brijuni, from September 18 to September 23, 2023.

ApplMath22

The CRO-MATH-IN association, together with the Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb and Department of Mathematics, University of Osijek, has co-organized the international scientific conference ApplMath22 on Brijuni, September 5-9, 2022.

Zoltán Horváth, president of the Executive Committee of the European network EU-MATHS-IN gave a plenary talk at the conference.

NaDu22

The CRO-MATH-IN association, together with the Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb, co-organized the international scientific conference NaDu22 in Dubrovnik, June 19-25, 2022.

pyREMAKEmsh

CRO-MATH-IN members Luka Grubišić and Josip Tambača, together with Domagoj Lacmanović, have developed mathematical software pyREMAKEmsh as part of the REMAKE project. pyREMAKEmsh is a meshing tool implemented in Python, adapted to the structures appearing in the ship structural analysis. The main contribution is the preprocessing algorithm which resolves the geometry of the object and divides it into plates where all of the intersections of the boundary edges are guaranteed to be the nodes of any mesh generated for such a geometry.

The software is available on GitHub.

ApplMath20

The CRO-MATH-IN association, together with the Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb, co-organized the international scientific conference ApplMath20 on Brijuni, September 14-20, 2020.
